Tapestry of Heroes Kicks off. Open day


A Lovely day and lovely weather for our first socially distanced open day to promote the Tapestry of Heroes.


It was great to see how involved people wanted to be and I had some wonderful suggestions about the design of our tapestry which have really helped me to visualise our end product.

During our afternoon session I met several local musicians from both classical and folk backgrounds who are all keen to be involved in the sound tapestry. They’ve all taken away their own section of plain chords, taken from a Faure song, to work on, and so now I’m really looking forward to hearing how they’ve translated these onto violin and harp.
