Had the group working harder than ever tonight and they ended up producing three poems each, rather than the usual two!
Continuing on from last session’s lockdown idea, this week the exercise was ‘Cocoon’ which brought forth such a beautiful collection of poems.
Then I gave the group two options for our writing to music exercise and opinion was pretty evenly divided so we all agreed to work with both. We listened to a classical version of David Bowie’s ‘Life on Mars’ followed by ‘The Lark Ascending’ by Vaughan Williams and the results inspired by each piece were truly fascinating, sending their writing off in so many different directions. It caused some great discussions too ☺.
