Pen-Pal get a bear hug

Updated: Feb 15

Our next letter is here ready to deliver to Trecarrel on Thursday. This was the first letter from our second pen-pal recruit, a lady who lives in the Tywardreath area, and I had such a wonderful surprise when I arrived at her porch: there was the letter, and next to it a beautiful cuddle-teddy and home-made card for the residents of Trecarrel. I was to touched at this lovely lady’s kindness and thoughtfulness – THANK YOU SO MUCH, it’s people like this who help our community pull through together at times like these.

I wish I could see the faces of the residents when they see this gorgeous bear, they will love him! They won’t get him for a few days though: I quarantine everything for 72hrs and I know that Kay, the well-being co-ordinator at Trecarrel does the same too, so things will definitely be as safe as possible when they meet him, which is a good job because I’m sure he’ll be getting lots of cuddles from everyone in the bubble.

If you’d like to receive a letter from us, or indeed if you’d like to help our band of pen-pals by joining us, please don’t hesitate to contact me (Jayne) on:
