MakeSpace Cornwall CIC
A creative hub for par bay
MakeSpace Cornwall CIC will be a hub for creativity and community engagement within the Par Bay area.
We will be offering a wide variety of creative courses, selling excellent handmade contemporary craft, empowering local creatives and delivering a set of values that has wellbeing at its centre.
o The pilot phase of MakeSpace the ‘Winter Wellbeing Workshops’ took in place January/February 2020 and were fully funded by Creative Civic Change in 2019.
o These workshops were the first step in creating a lasting legacy of art-based enrichment for our community, that boosted the profile of creative practitioners working locally enhanced opportunities available to residents.
o The pilot Creative Wellbeing Workshops aimed to boost wellbeing and provide a platform for people to access the high quality craft skills available within their community.
o With this high quality of skill-learning not being readily available in the local targeted communities, the intention of the pilot project was to make new creative outlets more accessible and affordable to residents, this intention will continue into MakeSpace CIC.
Since Covid-19 pandemic began we have had supportive comments on our Facebook page:
”We’ll all be in dire need of your workshops when this is all over!!! X”
A lady with her daughter-in-law, both had just suffered significant loss in the family commented

Such a lovely day. Really enjoyed it. Loving my lino printing and book making. Can't wait to see the amazing fused glass results.
Thank you to all the professional demonstrators who gave up their day for all.
